Experience an evening full of culture at the Night of the Museums

More than 30 museums located in the Historical Center of Lima participate in this activity. Which will be held on December 14.
If you want to do something different, on December 14 the Historic Center of Lima offers a nightly cultural tour.
During this event, which is expected to bring together more than 20,000 visitors, the museum will open at a special time: 5 to 10 pm will also offer special rates. Also, the streets of the Historical Center will be the scene of parades, jugglers and mimes.
The Metropolitan Municipality of Lima and the Network of Museums of the History Center recommend three routes for a tour and more thematically organaised.
Route 1: Lima Millennial. Cover archaeological museums.
Route 2: Architectural, museums recognized for its exterior and interior architecture.
Route 3: Crypts and Catacombs. Mostly in Churches and Pantheon of heroes.

New findings in Huarmey concerning  Wari culture: 1200 gold and silver objects and 63 mummies. Foto by : Juan Ponce The burial chamber was found by a group of Polish and Peruvian Archaeologists, four hours North from Lima. The Tomb Robbers were never able to dig up this tomb. Ingeniously, the subjects of the Wari lords shielded with a layer of 33 tons of gravel and therefore the tomb remained intact for about 1,200 years. Since a couple of years ago, a group of Polish researchers began to uncover the secret that kept a burial chamber of the Wari culture, which could solve various questions about the influence during the Middle Horizon era which was ruled by  the Moche Empire and other north coast civilisations. Chinchero, in the Heart of the Navel Textiles Weaving Chincheros Halfway between Cusco and Urubamba, at 3800 meters this place offers many of the places inside the capital of the Incas. Perhaps the evening is the best time to visit Chinchero. It is the time when there are fewer visitors and the light that comes from the mountains of the Cordillera de Vilcanota, glows gold fields, rocks and terraces of its archaeological site.
