Peru imposed itself as a new culinary destination in South America.

At the World Travel Awards, which took place this year in Lima, also distinguished PromPerú
Peru was recognized tonight as the “best culinary destination in South America”  In the first edition of the Latin American
 World Travel Awards, held in the city of Lima.
Additionally, the Commission for the Promotion of Peru Export and Tourism (PromPerú) received the award for best South America tourist office.
The Deputy Minister of Tourism Claudia Cornejo, gave her thanks for having received such a distinction and considered an honor to represent the tourism sector that works quietly in the development of the country.
As indicated, there is confidence in achieving that tourism will continue to consolidate as the second national currency generator, in view of the efforts on behalf of all those who continuously contribute in making this come true.

Lambayeque: Ventarron and its Archaeological Landscape

In the middle of the Lambayeque dessert, a Huaca located beside a colored hills defies knowledge about the origins of the Peruvian culture.  it is known as one of the most generous valleys in the world.  From where we stand it is spacious, bright and sunny. The surrounding mountains are arid and, amongst them, one stands out, Ventarron.  It is oriented to the north and at the foot of the hill, are seen in three colors, blue-gray at the base, yellow in the middle, and red on top. You can also observe geological faults, which seems to form a spider web, the mythical insect, which prognosticated rain in many cultures.
