Chinchero, in the Heart of the Navel

Chinchero, in the Heart of the Navel Textiles Weaving Chincheros Halfway between Cusco and Urubamba, at 3800 meters this place offers many of the places inside the capital of the Incas. Perhaps the evening is the best time to visit Chinchero. It is the time when there are fewer visitors and the light that comes from the mountains of the Cordillera de Vilcanota, glows gold fields, rocks and terraces of its archaeological site. The church, which stands on the terraces, creates games of shadows giving the whole place, known as the land of rainbow, a unique atmosphere. In Chinchero focuses a bit of all the wealth that has the department of Cusco. Located next to Chahuaytire and highland communities around Ausangate, in this place the best textiles are produced in the area. These fabrics are offered every day in positions that artisans up in the central square and the large square where transport vehicles arrive with tourists. The main exhibitions are held on Tuesday

Lambayeque: Ventarron and its Archaeological Landscape

In the middle of the Lambayeque dessert, a Huaca located beside a colored hills defies knowledge about the origins of the Peruvian culture.  it is known as one of the most generous valleys in the world.  From where we stand it is spacious, bright and sunny. The surrounding mountains are arid and, amongst them, one stands out, Ventarron.  It is oriented to the north and at the foot of the hill, are seen in three colors, blue-gray at the base, yellow in the middle, and red on top. You can also observe geological faults, which seems to form a spider web, the mythical insect, which prognosticated rain in many cultures. The valley is crossed by two rivers, and the sea is about 20 kilometers away. Next to the colorful mountain lies a quiet town where he lives with his family and worked for five years, the archeologist Nacho Alva , directing research and field work that changed the understanding of the northern cultural origin.
